Huang Yi, born September 13, 1979, is a Chinese actor and singer. He was born in Beijing and is the son of Huang Wenyi, a famous Chinese opera performer. In 2005 Huang Yi joined the Beijing-based rock band “Zhengzhou”, which became one of China’s most popular bands by 2010. In 2009 Huang Yi became a TV host on the show “Hello Beijing.” In 2011 he released his debut album “Love Attack” and also appeared in the film “The Flowers of War” which was directed by Zhang Yimou.
