When will the Football World Cup 2022 start?

The Football World Cup 2022 will take place in Qatar from 21 November to 18 December. The tournament will be held in eight stadiums across the country, with the final taking place at the newly built Lusail Stadium. This will be the first time that the World Cup has been held in the Arab world, and the first time it has been held in Asia since 2002.

The decision to award Qatar the hosting rights for the 2022 World Cup came under scrutiny due to concerns about human rights abuses and working conditions in the country. There have also been allegations of corruption surrounding the bidding process. However, FIFA has insisted that Qatar will be a safe and secure host for the tournament.

Around 1.5 million people are expected to visit Qatar for the World Cup, and there are plans to build a new airport and a rail network to cope with the influx of visitors. A number of hotels and other infrastructure projects are also being built in preparation for the tournament.

So far, 32 teams have qualified for the 2022 World Cup, with more set to qualify through regional competitions over the next few years. The format of the tournament will be similar to that used in 2018, with 64 matches taking place over a period of four weeks. Are you looking forward to the Football World Cup 2022?
